Verified Systems International GmbH was founded in 1998 as Spin-Off Company of the Center of Information Technology (TZI) of the University of Bremen. Shareholders are Dr. Oliver Meyer (Managing Director), Dr. Jörg Brauer (Managing Director), Dr. Ing. Cornelia Zahlten and Prof. Dr. Jan Peleska. Dr. Peleska is professor for computer science (operating systems and distributed systems) at Bremen University.

Verified Systems maintains a Quality Management System according to DIN EN ISO 9001 since November 2004, and also according to DIN EN 9100 since November 2013.

• Active: DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN 9100:2018, technically equivalent to AS9100D and JSIQ 9100:2026
  These both certificates have been joined to one document in 2024
• Certificate Reg. No. FS 708698, re-issued August 2024
